This restaurant is located in Lago Sul, near "Ponte JK" that is one of the most beautiful buildings in Brasília. Mangai is very big and it serves all types of brazilian food you can imagine. Also, the history of the place is amazing. There are a lot of objescts, clothes, that tell us about the brazilian "cangaceiros".
There are a lot of tables, but you should better make reservations to have dinner there. The atmosphere of the place is awsome, lights, big chairs to rest, hammacks, everything that makes it more homey. It is a buffet restaurant, but you have to order what you want to drink with one of Mangai's waiter, hwo will always be dressed like a "cangaceiro", by ringing a little bell under the table.
To eat there, you should be very hungry, because there are almost ten types of rice, beans, meat, pork, chicken, and salad too. You will certainly find what you like. The best part comes with the dessert, all types of ice cream made with native fruits, cakes and some delicious brazilian desserts like "rapadura" and "doce de leite".
The clientele just loves the restaurant, it is not expensive and it is well-located, but also it brings our brazilian culture, and our brazilian way of doing things.

ReplyDeleteSince my mother is from Natal, my family and I usually go to Mangai to have lunch. There is no doubt, Mangai is one of the best restaurants in Brasilia and also the self-service that serves the biggest variety of food. What I most like in there, are the disserts, my favorite one Charlote.
